Rod Place is a healthcare executive and operator with over two decades of experience scaling multi-site provider organizations, leading turnarounds, and building integrated care delivery platforms. He currently serves as Chief Executive Officer of Benevis, a leading dental services organization focused on delivering comprehensive, multi-specialty care to underserved populations across the United States.

At Benevis, Rod oversees more than 100 locations across 13 states, supporting a clinical network of hundreds of providers delivering general dentistry, orthodontics, oral surgery, endodontics, and anesthesia services. Under his leadership, the organization has advanced a fully integrated care model that aligns clinical quality, patient access, and operational execution—driving improvements in patient journey, specialty utilization, and financial performance.

Prior to Benevis, Rod held senior executive roles across several scaled healthcare platforms. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Great Expressions Dental Centers, where he helped stabilize and reposition a large, multi-state dental organization through operational standardization, leadership build-out, and performance discipline. Earlier in his career, he was Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer of InterDent, where he played a key role in driving growth, integration, and operational improvement across a multi-brand dental platform.

Rod’s experience also includes senior leadership roles at Alliance Healthcare Services, Western Dental, and MedQuest Associates, where he developed deep expertise in multi-site healthcare operations, revenue cycle management, clinical integration, and performance transformation.

He is recognized for his ability to partner with private equity sponsors and boards to execute value creation strategies, including organic growth acceleration, specialty service expansion, cost discipline, and platform integration. His leadership approach combines clinical alignment, data-driven decision-making, and field-level accountability to deliver sustainable EBITDA growth and scalable operating models.

Rod is actively engaged in advancing innovative care delivery models and leveraging technology, including AI-driven analytics, to improve patient outcomes and organizational performance across healthcare services platforms.

Kate Stets serves as the company’s Chief Financial Officer. She brings over 15 years of finance, revenue cycle and strategy experience to the role. Prior to joining Benevis, Kate served as CFO at a leading healthcare services company, where she led the company’s financial operations through a period of rapid growth and expansion. She has also held senior finance positions at several other successful companies in the healthcare, technology, and financial services sectors.

Dale Mayfield, DMD

Chief Dental Officer

Dr. Dale Mayfield joined the company in 2006 and currently serves as Chief Dental Officer leading the organization’s general dentistry practice. He previously spent 10 years in private practice in Decatur, Georgia, gaining extensive experience in all aspects of dentistry, including implants, complex crown and bridge cases, CEREC, and endodontics. Dr. Mayfield has a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the Medical College of Georgia and a B.S. in exercise physiology from Brigham Young University.

Aaron D. Webb, Esq.

Senior Vice President & General Counsel

Aaron D. Webb, Esq. is the Senior Vice President & General Counsel at Benevis. He is an experienced legal and business executive specializing in healthcare management, corporate governance, and strategic operations. Previously, he served as Of Counsel at Hall Booth Smith, P.C., focusing on healthcare litigation, risk analysis, and dispute resolution. Aaron also led CHI Living Communities as CEO and President, overseeing 3,000 employees and guiding long-term care strategies during COVID-19. His career includes executive leadership roles across various sectors, emphasizing operational excellence and strategic growth.

Will Alexander

Chief Information Officer

Will Alexander joined Benevis in 2019 as Chief Information Officer. Will leads all of the day to day tactics and strategy for IT. Prior to joining Benevis, Will spent 15 years at RaceTrac Petroleum. He led their IT department from 2009 to 2019. Will is active in Georgia CIO, Technology Association of Georgia, and Atlanta Telcom Professionals. He is also on the board for the non-profit PowerMyLearning. Will holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a M.B.A from Georgia State University.

Jane Whang, DDS

Regional Director of Clinical

Dr. Jane Whang has been with the company since 2009. She graduated with a B.A. in Psychology from Barnard College, M.A. in Elementary Education from Columbia University and D.D.S. from Columbia University. She pursued dentistry after teaching 8th Grade Science for 4 years in NYC. After graduating dental school, she worked in a multi-specialty private office in Danbury, CT before relocating to Maryland to join Benevis as an Associate Dentist. She now serves as a Regional Director of Clinical for the East Region.

Dawn Rosales

VP Compliance at Benevis

Dawn Rosales is a seasoned healthcare operations leader and the Vice President of Compliance at Benevis. With a strong background in regulatory compliance, acquisitions, and clinical operations, she is dedicated to ensuring excellence across all areas of the organization. Having previously held key roles at Benevis, Dawn brings deep industry knowledge and a passion for building strong, effective teams. Her collaborative approach and problem-solving mindset help drive operational success and maintain the highest standards of patient care.

Pam Hartnett

Vice President of Operations

Pam Hartnett is the Vice President of Operations, East, where she leads operational strategy and efficiency across multiple regions. With a strong background in healthcare management and business development, she focuses on optimizing processes, enhancing patient care, and supporting teams to drive growth. Before joining Benevis, Pam held leadership roles in healthcare organizations, where she developed and implemented strategic initiatives to improve performance and expand services. Her expertise in operations and commitment to excellence make her a vital part of Benevis’ mission to increase access to quality dental care.

Marina Miller

VP Talent Acquisition

Marina Miller is the Vice President of Talent Acquisitions, where she leads the Provider Recruitment team and develops strategies to attract and on-board the right talent. She brings more than 20 years of Talent Acquisition and HR experience to her new role. Marina joins the Benevis team from Dental Dreams where, in her role as Sr. Director of Doctor Recruitment and Relations, she successfully developed and implemented unique provider recruitment strategies. She also brings a strong sales and retail experience skillset from various prior roles at Colorscience and the Jones Group.
